Actress Yvonne Nelson has waded into the fight between actors and producers over unpaid monies owed the former.
In an interview with Citi FM, monitored by theghanareport.com, the screen godess said the ranting of respected thespian Kofi Adjorlolo, about producers owing actors was the reality of the Ghanaian movie industry.
“See this thing is true, I even have a bounced cheque from 2016, I have kept it in my purse since 2016 because I knew I will need it someday,”.
The 63-year old, Adjorlolo, a few weeks ago fumed over money owed him by some movie producers.
“Some of the producers in Ghana here, they should respect themselves…old man like me, they call me to come and work and they can’t pay me…”
“About seven producers in this country owe me monies…why? And then I’m sitting at home, I’m hungry, and then when I’m sick too nobody pays attention…Look we have elderly people lying down on their sickbeds and these producers owe them,” Adjorlolo fumed.

Reacting to what her colleague’s comment, Yvonne said, “What Kofi said, that is the truth, that is our reality so I don’t understand why Elikem was disrespectful to him because Kofi is a legend…. our industry doesn’t pay.”
