The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has completed the FIFA Central Review for the accounting period from January 1 to December 31, 2024.
This achievement marks the sixth consecutive year that the Association has passed FIFA’s audit under the current administration, which took office in 2019.
The FIFA Central Review, conducted by the global audit firm EY (Zurich), took place onsite in March 2025 and was coordinated by the GFA’s Chief Finance Officer, Collins Kwasi Dei.
This review is a critical compliance requirement; any failure to meet the standards could lead to FIFA sanctions, including the suspension of funding, project support, and allocations from the Forward Programme.
Additionally, the GFA has also completed its statutory audit for the 2023/2024 season. The international audit firm Baker Tilly Andah + Andah finished the audit covering the period from July 1, 2023, to June 30, 2024. The audit report has been submitted to FIFA and will be included in the documents for the upcoming GFA Congress per Article 67 of the GFA Statutes.
Looking ahead, the Association will prepare its financial statements for the 2024/2025 period by June 30, 2025.
This will precede another statutory audit, which is expected to be completed and submitted to FIFA and CAF by December 31, 2025.
