Gyakie: “I don’t do music to compete or win”

Ghanaian music sensation, Gyakie, has finally addressed the long silence surrounding her music releases, assuring fans that her absence is intentional and purposeful.

In a heartfelt Facebook post, the “Forever” hitmaker revealed that she does not create music for competition or accolades but rather to deliver something meaningful to her audience.

“I haven’t released music because I don’t do this to compete or win but rather to genuinely give what I have,” she wrote, emphasising her commitment to producing soulful and impactful music.

The singer further explained that her creative process requires moments of retreat, allowing her to craft songs that resonate deeply with listeners. “I go into my shells so I can give you music that feeds into your soul,” she said.

Despite not being physically present in the public eye, Gyakie reassured fans that her voice remains with them through her music. “I might not be physically present in your faces, but I believe my voice is constantly in your ears, and that brings fulfilment to my heart,” she added, urging her supporters to keep streaming her songs.
