COP Kofi Boakye (RTD), the Director of Security Operations at the Presidency, has refuted allegations of inciting chaos at the Kotoka International Airport (KIA).
In a statement, the retired Commissioner of Police (COP) said he instead prevented further disturbances caused by a group of unruly individuals at Terminals 2 and 3 of KIA.
He added that his intervention ensured the safety of passengers, staff, and property at the airport.
He, therefore, described the claims as baseless and malicious.
“We categorically deny any suggestion that COP Kofi Boakye (RTD), Director of Security Operations at the Presidency, Jubilee House orchestrated or supported such actions. As a dedicated public servant, he remains committed to upholding peace and security.
“The public is advised to disregard these falsehoods, and we urge media outlets to verify facts before circulating harmful misinformation,” the statement read.
