Asante Kotoko’s coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum, believes that the addition of Michael Sefah to their defence will enhance the team’s chances of competing for titles this season.

The 29-year-old player joined the Porcupine Warriors from Division One side Port City FC on an 18-month contract on transfer deadline day.

Although the club officially unveiled him on Wednesday, he could be included in the squad for the match against Karela on Sunday.

“Michael is a fantastic addition to our team. His ability to play both as a center-back and in defensive midfield gives us great tactical flexibility. He completed our center-back options as we previously had only three senior ones in Ablorh, Samba, and Ansu,” said Ogum.

“Michael’s arrival not only strengthens our defense but also provides leadership and stability, which will be crucial as we compete on multiple fronts.”

Sefah joins Kwasi Asante, Isaac Mintah, Sampson Eduku, and Kwame Opoku as signings in the January transfer window.

The Kumasi-based giants finished the first round just one point behind leaders Bibiani GoldStars.
