Four Regional Ministers appointed by President John Dramani Mahama on January 14, 2025, are being vetted by the Appointments Committee of Parliament today, January 23, 2025.
The nominees are Ali Adolf G. John, Minister-designate for the Northern Region; John Kwadwo Gyapong, Minister-designate for the Oti Region; James Gunu, Minister-designate for the Volta Region; and Mrs. Rita Akosua Awatey, Minister-designate for the Eastern Region.
Ali Adolf G. John, Minister-designate for the Northern Region, was the first to be vetted.
His vetting was followed by John Kwadwo Gyapong, Minister-designate for the Oti Region.
The next was James Gunu, Minister-designate for the Volta Region.
The appointment of the regional ministers aims to strengthen governance and ensure effective administration across their regions.
