President John Dramani Mahama has announced four key appointees to man national security affairs in his new government.
Prosper Douglas Bani is the National Security Advisor to the President, DCOP Abdul-Osman Razak has been appointed National Security Coordinator, COP Nathan Kofi Boakye (Rtd.) is the Director of Operations at the Presidency, while Charles Kipo has been appointed Director General of the National Intelligence Bureau (NIB).
In a communiqué issued by the Acting Spokesperson of the President, Felix Kwakye Ofosu, on January 15, 2025, these appointees bring extensive experience and expertise in governance and security to ensure a cohesive and strategic approach to the country’s security initiatives.
“The appointments reflect President Mahama’s commitment to enhancing national security and ensuring the safety of citizens,” the communiqué concluded.
