Ghanaian dancehall artist Shatta Wale has set the record straight, denying rumours that Blakk Cedi, former manager of Stonebwoy, has taken over his management team.
The rumours began after Blakk Cedi posted a message on social media thanking Shatta Wale for the opportunity to assist with the Vybz Kartel Freedom Street Concert in Jamaica.
In his post, Blakk Cedi expressed gratitude for being part of the successful concert, saying, “It was an honour to step in and contribute to your vision. Your unwavering respect, trust, and love truly humbled me.”
His message sparked speculation about his role in Shatta Wale’s camp, leading many to believe that Blakk Cedi had replaced Sammy Flex as Shatta Wale’s manager.
However, in a recent interview at the Kotoka International Airport on January 8, 2025, Shatta Wale made it clear that Blakk Cedi’s role was merely to help with the event, not to take over his management.
Shatta Wale emphasised that Sammy Flex is still his official manager, stating, “Blakk Cedi’s contribution was like media outlets coming here to interview me. I don’t have a problem with anyone.”
Shatta Wale further expressed his appreciation for Blakk Cedi’s support but urged fans not to misinterpret the situation, adding, “Nobody should tag Blakk Cedi as managing Shatta Wale. Sammy Flex is still my manager.”
He thanked his fans for their continued loyalty and promised to deliver more music and expand his business ventures in 2025.
Shatta Wale’s statement clears up any confusion and reaffirms that Sammy Flex is the artist’s current manager.
