Mahama maintains old guards in first list of appointments
President-elect John Dramani Mahama has stuck to his long-time loyalists in his first official appointments to the Presidency.
Mr Julius Debrah, who was Chief of Staff under Mahama’s first tenure retains his position, while Dr Valerie Sawyer, a former deputy Chief of Staff will serve as Senior Presidential Advisor on Government Affairs.
Staunch NDC member and former presidential aspirant Augustus Gooseh Tannoh will supervise the implementation of the party’s flagship 24-hour economy programme.
Special Aide Felix Kwakye Ofosu made the announcement on Monday, January 6, a day before the swearing-in ceremony of the president-elect.
