An abandoned baby girl has been found dead at a dumping site in Atwima Takyiman in the Atwima district of the Asante Region.
The infant, wrapped in a cloth bearing the Kwadaso SDA Hospital label, was discovered in a paper box by the dump site’s caretaker.
According to assemblyman David Asare, despite efforts to locate the parents, they haven’t found any suspects yet.
Asare said that the necessary rituals have been performed, and the baby has been laid to rest.
“The baby was found in a paper box dead, wrapped with Kwadaso SDA hospital cloth, but we have not yet discovered the mother or parents,” Asare said.
“We are ready to investigate this till we find out the mother or father of this abandoned dead baby and have him or her face the law.”
