Kwame Opoku is happy to be back to Kotoko- Prosper Ogum
Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club head coach, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, says striker Kwame Opoku is happy to be back to the club after spending time at Moroccan side Olympique Khourigba and Algerian side USM Alger.
Dr. Ogum said this in his pre-game presser ahead of Kotoko’s super clash against Accra Hearts of Oak at the Baba Yara Stadium on Sunday, December 15 at 15:00 GMT.
Opoku bagged seven goals in 16 games in the Ghana Premier League with Kotoko before leaving the club where he registered five goals and six assists in 33 games in the Ligue Professionnelle 1 but returned to the club recently on a two and a half year deal.
“He’s a fine striker, fine player. I like his level of professionalism…and he’s happy he’s back to the club to also contribute his quota. We know he has the eye for goal and that’s the reason why we are bringing him on board.”
“We only have to support him…let him believe that he is a good quality player that is why we’ve brought him on board. He’s a good player and as a coach, I’m happy that he’s back to the club.”
