The highly anticipated 2024 general election is over, but not without surprises and drama.
On December 9, 2024, the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Jean Mensa, declared John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC), as the President-elect with 56.55%.
Several ambitious politicians also gained the nod of constituents, emerging victorious in the parliamentary race.
This year’s election featured several celebrities and entertainers poised to make a difference in parliament.
While some had to endure a long wait and fierce battles, others sailed through on their first attempt.
