A 56-year-old farmer, Kwasi Adutwum, has lost his life after being attacked by a swarm of bees in the Atwima Mponua District of the Ashanti Region.
According to reports, Adutwum had gone to his farmland in Nkwasiatan, a farming community, on Tuesday, December 10, but failed to return after several hours.
Concerned residents initiated a search, which led to the discovery of his lifeless body.
Alexander Kwasi Yeboah, the assemblyman for the Nkwasiatan electoral area, recounted the horrific scene.
“When we went to search for him, we found his lifeless body covered in bees,” he said.
The police in Nyinahin were promptly notified, and the body of the deceased was transported to the Bibiani Government Hospital mortuary for preservation and further investigation.
Authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
