Ghanaian talent Augusto Owusu set for contract extension
Promising talent Augusto Seedorf Owusu is poised to sign a new long-term contract with Juventus that will increase his salary.
The 19-year-old Italian-born midfielder of Ghanaian descent has shown impressive potential and was integrated into the Juventus Next Gen team for the 2024/25 season following a successful loan at Reggiana.
Having joined Juventus at the age of seven, Owusu has progressed through the ranks of this Italian football powerhouse.
Reports indicate that he has agreed to a new five-year deal, which will extend his stay at with the Old Lady until 2029.
Currently making a name for himself with the Juventus Next Gen, Owusu is expected to play a vital role in the upcoming 2024/25 season in the Italian Serie C.
His performance at the youth level has been noteworthy, with 12 league appearances this season.
Moreover, he has recently received calls to join the first team from manager Thiago Motta, and was on the bench in the last two Serie A matches against Lecce and Bologna.
Due to his Ghanaian heritage, Owusu remains eligible to represent Ghana on the international stage.
