One person is injured at Kasoa in the Awutu Senya East constituency following a shooting incident at a polling centre.
According to the police, one Mujaheed Suraj, popularly known as Mims, shot the victim in the leg and absconded, leaving his car behind.
The vehicle is currently in the custody of the Kasoa police.
A statement by the police said a manhunt has been launched to get the suspect arrested to face the law.
Meanwhile, some residents told reporters that the suspect fired the gun following a disagreement between supporters of the NDC and the NPP.
They added that the victim was a commercial driver who only tried to calm the agitated persons after he finished casting his ballot.
