Burst pipeline disrupts water supply in Tema, neighbouring communities
The Management of Ghana Water Limited, Tema Region have announced a disruption in water supply from the Kpong Water treatment plant.
The interruption was due to a burst on the 42″ transmission pipeline serving the region and its environs.
The company in a statement dated December 2, 2024, said engineers have been deployed to fix the problem after which water supply would be restored.
Areas affected by the interruption include Tema Communities One to 26, Tema Newtown, Afienya, Mataheko, Sakumono, Batsonaa, and Ashaiman.
The rest were Prampram, Gbestile, Dawhenya, Kpone, Golf City, and Old and New Ningo.
The statement signed by the Tema Regional Chief Manager of GWL, Dr Samuel Ason assured customers that water supply would resume as soon as the works were completed.
