“It was amazing”- Joseph Painstil after LA Galaxy reach MLS Western Conference final

Ghana winger Joseph Painstil has expressed excitement after starring in LA Galaxy’s thumping victory over Minnesota United to reach the Western Conference final in the MLS.

Paintsil netted a brace as the former champions thrashed Minnesota 6-2 to book a date with Seatle Sounders in the Western Conference final.

The 26-year-old former KRC Genk forward attributed the team’s success to a collective effort from all players and the technical staff.

“Things are really a little bit changed because of the way we press; as you can see today, everybody got really hungry to win this game, even though we had a long break. But we were really focused, and we came together; even in training, everybody is pushing everyone to do what he needs to do and attack and everything,” he said after the game.

“I think with the individual and with the connection of the team, that makes it possible today because everybody fights for every ball, and it was really amazing that we came out with this great score.”

Adding to Painstil’s brace with doubles from Gabriel Pec and Dejan Joveltic.

Ghanaian-Italian forward Kelvin Yeboah also netted a brace for Minnesota in the eight-goal thriller.
