Shatta Wale fires back at Black Sherif over underwear mockery
Ghanaian dancehall icon Shatta Wale has hit back at Black Sherif after the latter mocked him on Snapchat for allegedly wearing fake Calvin Klein underwear. The incident has ignited a heated social media debate between fans of the two artistes.
Black Sherif’s post on November 20, 2024, poking fun at Shatta Wale’s choice of underwear, did not sit well with the “On God” hitmaker, who responded during an interview on Angel FM in Kumasi.
In a fiery comeback, Shatta Wale warned Black Sherif to tread carefully, cautioning him against damaging their relationship.
“Black Sherif, the diamonds I wear are of the highest quality. It’ll take him 10 years to afford diamonds like mine. I’m not being dishonest; if he visits a diamond shop, he should ask about the price of VVS diamonds. Those aren’t for children. If he wants to humble himself, he can buy some within two months now,” Shatta said.

He further criticised Black Sherif for allegedly letting industry opinions influence his actions.
“He thinks listening to industry players will help him. That’s the problem with our artistes who have issues with me. You can’t mock me. He should stop that,” he added.
Shatta Wale also alluded to his track record of dominating industry feuds and turning them into opportunities to create hits.
“It’s like a phoning network that, when you make calls, it doesn’t go through. That line he’s towing, from Samini, Sarkodie, Stonebwoy, Yaa Pono; I can’t mention the number of people I have beefed with, and me when I take a beef with you, I will make the song a hit,” Shatta said.
He urged Black Sherif to approach disagreements with maturity and seek unity within the industry.
The tension between the two artistes escalated after Shatta Wale criticised Black Sherif’s dressing style during an episode of the *Rants, Bants, and Confessions Podcast*. Black Sherif retaliated with the now-viral Snapchat post mocking Shatta’s underwear, prompting Shatta to threaten to end the rapper’s career during a live session on X (formerly Twitter).
The feud has drawn widespread attention, with fans taking sides in what appears to be one of the most talked-about entertainment stories in recent weeks.
