Black Stars should go all out and win against Angola – Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu

Former Black Stars midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang-Badu has urged the team to take an aggressive approach and attack Angola from the first whistle as they fight to keep their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations hopes alive.

Ghana’s qualification chances are hanging by a thread, and they must win their remaining games to stay in the hunt.

Speaking on how the team should approach the game, Badu told Asempa FM, “The only way to approach a game like this is to go for the win. A draw will not help you. Go all out with all the weapons you have and attack Angola.

“They should go all out and do their best, and even if we don’t qualify, you will know they’ve put their best foot forward.”

Ghana’s qualification hopes remain alive, but their fate is now out of their hands. Following Niger’s 4-0 victory over Sudan, the Black Stars must secure a win against Angola’s Palancas Negras at the Estádio 11 de Novembro in their next match to keep their hopes alive.

The current standings leave Ghana with a tough road ahead. They are 12 points behind group leaders Angola, five behind second-placed Sudan, and two adrift of third-place Niger.

Ghana will return home on Monday, November 18, 2024, to wrap up their qualifiers with a crucial home clash against Niger, where they will need all three points to stay in the race for the continental competition.
