“We shall improve” – Medeama coach promises after consecutive defeats

Meadeam Sporting Club’s head coach, Nebojsa Kapor, has promised a turnaround in fortunes after the team’s recent disappointments.

He made the comments after Sunday’s 1-0 loss to Dreams FC in week ten of the Ghana Premier League.

The 2023 league champions could not recover after conceding a first-half penalty which was converted by Joseph Esso.

Looking back on the match, Kapor was unhappy with his team’s performance.

“Very disappointing [performance]. We couldn’t find our energy and our performance was very disappointing. I’m unhappy, but it’s football. i hope we can find ourselves and come back stronger.”

The coach highlighted his players’ lack of energy during the match.

“We will identify our problems and improve. Today, we didn’t find our energy, and that didn’t help us,” he added. Medeama is currently winless in their last three games and sits in seventh place on the league table with 15 points.’

Sunday’s defeat was the second in consecutive matches, having lost by a similar scoreline to Accra Hearts of Oak at the T& Stadium on matchday nine.

They will have the chance to make amends when they face league leaders Bibiani Gold Stars at the T& A Stadium on Sunday.

Medeama has slumped to seventh place on the league table, with fifteen points from ten matches.
