The Electoral Commission (EC) has presented the final and certified voter register to political parties ahead of the 2024 general elections.
The presentation of the register was led by the Chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Mrs Jean Mensa, at the EC headquarters in Accra.
This is in fulfilment of the EC’s promise to present the register by the end of the first week of November 2024.
During the presentation, Mrs Mensa assured that the register is robust and credible as all issues raised during the re-exhibition exercise have been duly resolved.
At the last Inter-Party Advisory Committee (IPAC) meeting, templates of the voter register were provided to all political parties so they could report any outstanding concerns regarding the provisional voter register, she said.

However, she said no political party reported any issues regarding the register for resolution.
“I’m pleased to note that we now have a robust and credible final certified voters register which is fit to deliver credible, transparent, fair, peaceful and glorious elections come the 7th December 2024,” she declared.
She also commended the parties and presidential candidates for their cooperation through the stages of the registration process while pledging the commission’s commitment to conducting free, fair and transparent elections.
This comes after the National Democratic Congress (NDC) raised concerns regarding the integrity of the voter roll.
Following a number of meetings to address the concerns, the chairperson revealed that the party failed to provide any concrete evidence to back their claims of discrepancies in the voter register.
