PRCS reports ‘significant’ turnout at Gaza polio clinics

The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said hundreds of children made their way to clinics in Gaza City to receive the second dose of their polio vaccine on Saturday.

“The clinics of the Palestine Red Crescent Society have witnessed a significant turnout of parents bringing their children to receive the polio vaccine,” it said on X.

The campaign, delayed by Israel’s offensive in north Gaza, began on Saturday and will continue into Monday. It aims to reach some 100,000 children in northern Gaza. But as we’ve been reporting, some 15,000 children trapped in areas under Israeli siege will miss out on their second dose, raising concerns over the vaccine campaign’s efficacy.
