Take time to resolve differences during the yuletide – Prof Oquaye message to Ghanaians
Speaker of Parliament, Professor Aaron Mike Oquaye, has urged Ghanaians to take advantage of the festive season to settle all differences and disputes with individuals that happened in the year.
Doing this, he believes is a clear demonstration of love, respect and the tolerance that people have for each other.
Temporarily hanging his Speaker’s robe for that of the priest he is, the Speaker is confident the Almighty God will see Ghanaians through the festive season.
In a Christmas message delivered before the house adjourned for the end of year festivities, the Speaker spoke about tolerance and brotherly love.
“I will like to urge all Ghanaians to use this occasion to demonstrate love, respect, and tolerance for others, amicably resolve differences and live in peace with each other.
“I am very confident that the Almighty will guide and guard us throughout the festive season and beyond. I wish you all a blissful Christmas and prosperous new year, ” he said on the floor of Parliament.
Meanwhile, President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, former President John Dramani Mahama among other Ghanaian leaders in a Facebook post have delivered goodwill messages of the season.
To crown the year, former President, John Dramani Mahama on Friday held a Christmas party for children at his residence.
There were a number of fun activities observed in the course of the program.
Among them, was a musical chair competition that saw Mr Mahama competing with nine others including his son.
