Prosper Ogum hopeful Asante Kotoko will start banging in goals
Asante Kotoko head coach Prosper Narteh Ogum is optimistic that his team will soon find their scoring touch as the season progresses. So far, the club has managed only one goal in each of their seven Ghana Premier League matches.
The Porcupine Warriors have secured four 1-0 victories and drawn three times, with their latest outing ending in a 1-1 draw against Basake Holy Stars during match week eight at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park in Anyinase.
Reflecting on the game, Ogum acknowledged the need for improvement in front of goal.
“It’s not the result we expected, but that’s what we have. We just have to make do with it and focus on our next game. It’s all about composure in front of goal,” Ogum said.
“Once we get the composure in front of goal, which is made up of confidence, picking the right spot, applying the right technique, and applying the right power behind the ball, I’m sure we’ll be good to go.”
Following the draw, the Porcupine Warriors remain second on the Ghana Premier League table with 15 points.
The draw leaves Kotoko three points behind league leaders Bibiani Goldstars, who secured a stunning victory over Hearts of Oak.
