Dreams FC coach Abdul Karim Zito proud of CAF’s Male Club of the Year nomination
Dreams FC coach Abdul Karim Zito is proud of his outfit following their nomination in the CAF’s Male Club of the Year category.
The Ghanaian side earned this prestigious recognition following their remarkable journey to the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup during their continental debut.
Dreams FC’s impressive performance saw them reach the last four, where they were ultimately eliminated by eventual champions Zamalek.
Now, they aim to secure the award against strong contenders, including Atletico Petroleos, Young Africans, Simba SC, TP Mazembe, Zamalek, Mamelodi Sundowns, ES Tunis, RS Berkane, and reigning African champions Al Ahly.
“I’m proud of myself and the playing body at large. I’m very happy with Dreams FC’s achievement as a smaller club” he said in an interview.
The awards ceremony will take place on December 16, 2024, in the tourist city of Marrakech, Morocco, marking the third consecutive year that Morocco will host this prestigious event following a star-studded celebration last year. CAF will announce the exact starting time of the CAF Awards in due course.
The CAF Awards celebrate exceptional performances in both club and national competitions, culminating in the prestigious titles of CAF African Player of the Year in both men’s and women’s categories.
