John Laryea to face Panama’s Ricardo Nunez on November 1 in US
Two-time undefeated WBO African Featherweight champion, John Laryea, will face Ricardo Nunez from Panama in his first competitive fight in the United States of America.
The featherweight clash has been scheduled for November 1, 2024, after months of uncertainty with the fight set to see Laryea make his long-awaited return to the ring in a first international bout.
The ‘Expensive Boxer’, who is rated No. 70 by the World Boxing Organization (WBO), will have a first taste of international fight next month at Caribe Royale Orlando, Orlando – USA.
The new date was revealed by the BoxRec website. Laryea is managed by Sammy Anim Addo with Peter Khan also co-managing him under the renowned world-known Fight Game Advisors Promotions.
The JamesTown-based boxer (13-0-1, 11 KOs) last fought on December 30, 2023, when he defeated Isaac Dowuona by TKO at the Golden Royal Beach, Korle Gonno – Accra.
The undefeated WBO African Featherweight Champion currently ranks No.1 out of 22 in Ghana and No.70 out of 1686 worldwide.
Other high-profile fights on the bill are Chavez Barrientes vs Brandon Douglas, Deron Thompson vs Malik Lewis and Alexander Rios Vega vs Felix Santana Jr.
