Armed robbers have killed a police officer in Kwame Peprakrom in the Upper Denkyira East Municipality of the Central Region.
The attack, which occurred on Saturday, September 28, also left two officers critically injured.
According to reports, the gang of robbers ambushed a police patrol team from Dunkwa during night duties and unleashed a bloody attack on the cops,
One policeman, who has only been identified as Evans, died on the spot while the two other injured officers were rushed to the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital.
This comes months after the Ghana Police Service announced that one officer was killed in a robbery incident that occurred at Ahodwo, Nhyiaeso in the Ashanti Region.
The incident happened in the early hours of Thursday, June 27.
The police in a Facebook post disclosed that one suspect was arrested in connection with the robbery.

In a similar incident, a Police Officer stationed at Mankessim in the Mfantseman Municipality of the Central Region was shot by a security man at a block factory while pursuing some armed robbers.
It was reported that the Police Officer, Chief Inspector Jonathan Amoadu, was shot at Enyan Maim in the Ajumako Enyan Essiam District during a night patrol.
According to the officer, he received a call for assistance from the Accra Anti-Robbery Patrol Team deployed to Mankessim to arrest suspected armed robbers who had committed crimes in Accra and fled to seek refuge in Enyan Maim.
