Our tactics worked perfectly against Accra Lions – Vision FC Coach

Vision FC Head Coach Nana Kweku Agyemang believes his team won against Accra Lions in their Ghana Premier League week two game because their tactics worked to perfection on Monday at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The newly promoted side secured their first-ever Ghana Premier League win after beating Lions 2-0 to wrap up the match week two fixtures.

Elijah Addai and Emmanuel Kyei Baffour scored in either half to hand Vision the three points, taking them up to third on the table with four points.

“I think it’s a fantastic feat that the boys have been able to achieve. We all know that Accra Lions is very good, and we all know that they’re going to play 60-65% of the game,” Agyemang said after the game.

“Accra Lions is much, much better and ahead in terms of ball possession. So the game plan was to allow them to have the ball and then create space behind them to catch them on the counter.

“If we’re able to score a goal or two, we know that they’ll be in a hurry because they want to come and score, creating more space for us so that we can get behind them, and that’s exactly what happened.”

Vision FC will host Legon Cities at the Nii Agyei Kraku II Park on Saturday in a match week three clash.
