The Group Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of I-Zar Group, Mrs Rashida Sanni Nasamu has shared stories of her business success, stressing it is not for the faint-hearted.

The multi-million dollar company, with over five affiliates, began in 2008 from her dining table, Mrs Nasamu said in a chat on Restoration TV hosted by Stacey Amoateng.

In the interview monitored by theghanareport.com, Mrs Nasamu, who is into strategic communications, said at a point all her staff left as she struggled to pay them.

“I made GHC 8000 from my first contract and got an office and business started again but I had to sit in the office no job, staff upon staff left ….”

“My money got finished at some point so my staff left me…” she said.

When her administrator left the company, she had to put up a brave face to make a presentation at the Ministries.

“I did everything by myself, the following year things picked up for me and the rest is history” the multiple-award winner said.

She advised entrepreneurs to be practical, explaining if they ‘build castles in the air, the force of gravity will pull them down’

The Chief Executive, who recently launched another business unit, a drive-through waakye restaurant, Alhaji’s Wife, refused to define her success in monetary terms.

“I think money is just notes and bills…success goes beyond embarking on some kind of trade, success is to me the greater impact you make on people” she noted.
