Baba Sadiq disputes Stonebwoy’s chances of winning 2025 TGMA ‘Artiste of The Year’
Entertainment executive Baba Sadiq has voiced his disagreement with claims that Stonebwoy would still win ‘Artiste of The Year’ if the 2025 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) were held today.
In response to a post suggesting Stonebwoy’s continued dominance in the category, Sadiq questioned the quality of music Stonebwoy has released recently.
Sadiq argued that King Paluta and King Promise are currently stronger contenders for the title, citing their successful hit songs and impressive performances on both local and international stages.
He specifically praised King Promise for headlining shows in uncharted territories like Asia, drawing comparisons to Stonebwoy’s year, which, according to Sadiq, lacked major hit records until the Bhim Concert.
Sadiq also mentioned other strong contenders, including KiDi, Black Sherif, Joe Mettle, and Team Eternity, who he believes are all in a better position to win the coveted award.
His comments have since sparked backlash, particularly from Stonebwoy’s fans, who strongly disagree with his assessment.
