African Fashion Week MN to hold this September

African Fashion Week MN, Minnesota is set to take place from Monday, September 9-14, 2024, at 1400 Park Avenue, Minneapolis, MN 55404, United States.

This premier event serves as a dynamic platform dedicated to driving global progress through events, media, retail, and tourism.

By educating, empowering, and connecting visionary brands and individuals, African Fashion Week MN aims to break down barriers and establish a structured framework for industries to thrive.

This year’s event will focus on promoting textile import into Minnesota and fostering collaborations between local designers and their African counterparts, thereby strengthening the bond between Minnesota and Africa.

“The vision is to promote and improve public understanding with the appreciation of African fashion and arts through fashion shows and networking events,” a statement from the organisers said.

The goals include among other things the chance to empower and promote African inspired fashion and arts by providing a premier event platform.

The list of fashion designers to exhibit their works are Carl Winston, Zeya Couture, Dazzelle LLC, Princess Flo Boutique, Obioma, Corazon Clothing, Shexclusive and House of Khupe.

The others are Dedicated by Slay, Baddest, Ghana Global Business, Afrikaanista, Shiri Achu Art, Neek Molac, Glass Mirrored Art, Ura by Julia, Jerry Afrik, Simplicity styles and Ab Collections.
