A horrific road accident occurred last night at Sunyani Mantukwa in the Sunyani West Municipality of the Bono Region, claiming the lives of seven persons.
The tragic incident involved a tricycle (Pragya) which collided with a Toyota RAV4 around 10 pm.
According to eyewitnesses, the tricycle was occupied by seven boys when the accident happened.
Unfortunately, all seven lost their lives in the crash.
The driver of the Toyota RAV4, who was the sole occupant of the vehicle, fled the scene to avoid a mob that had gathered.
The cause of the accident is yet to be determined and an investigation is underway.
