In a record-shattering move, Cristiano Ronaldo joined YouTube on August 21 and amassed over 10 million subscribers within just 12 hours.

The 39-year-old Portuguese football great surpassed the previous record held by MrBeast, who took 132 days to reach the same milestone.

This impressive feat has earned Ronaldo’s channel the YouTube golden button, making him the fastest creator to reach 1 million subscribers.

Ronaldo’s channel, which he joined on July 8 but only started uploading content on August 21, has already surpassed 15 million subscribers at the time of writing.

This comes as no surprise, given his massive global following as a renowned footballer, currently playing for Al Nassr in the Saudi Pro League.

MrBeast, the most followed YouTuber with 311 million subscribers, held the previous record, but Ronaldo’s incredible growth has shaken up the platform. T-Series and Cocomelon-Nursery Rhymes follow closely behind MrBeast, with 272 million and 180 million subscribers, respectively.

Ronaldo’s YouTube debut has sent shockwaves, and his channel is expected to continue its rapid ascent.

The footballer is also the most followed individual on Meta’s Instagram, with 636 million followers.

His soccer comrade and Argentina star, Lionel Messi is next on IG with 504 million followers. Selena Gomez, with a follower count of 425 million, comes next.
