The Ghana Police Service has noted with concern a publication alleging the training of some militiamen at Bawku in the Upper East Region.
In a statement, the police said it has found no evidence of such training in the area or its environs.
This is the second of such false publications within a week by some unpatriotic individuals intended to create unnecessary alarm and panic among the public.
The police assured that they are working to bring the perpetrators to book.
The statement emphasised that the police are actively investigating the sources of these false reports and are committed to bringing those responsible to justice.
On August 19, the police denied the alleged training of militia at Kwahu in the Eastern Region in preparation for the 2024 general elections.
