Ghana U20 coach Desmond Offei names 35-man squad for camping ahead of WAFU Zone B championship
Ghana’s U20 national team head coach, Desmond Offei, has called up 35 players to start camping in preparation for the WAFU Zone B U20 Championship.
The squad, comprising members of the victorious U20 African Games team, is expected to report to the Ghanaman Centre of Excellence on August 11, 2024.
Over the next few weeks, the team will engage in intensive training and friendly matches, culminating in the selection of the final squad for the championship.
This rigorous preparation is aimed at fostering competition among players, ensuring that only the best make the cut and are equipped to excel in the tournament.
Following a European tour, where the team played Belgian clubs, Coach Offei is focused on leading the Black Satellites to a successful campaign and a return to the U20 Cup of Nations, which Ghana last won in 2021.
