The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has released the schedule for the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League season, which kicks off on September 6, 2024.
Defending champions FC Samartex 1996 face a tough away match against Dreams FC, while Hearts of Oak host newcomers Basake Holy Stars and Asante Kotoko take on Karela United.
The opening weekend promises thrilling matches, including Medeama vs. Accra Lions and Vision FC vs. Berekum Chelsea.
Other notable fixtures include the Super Clash between Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak on Matchday 13 and regional derbies like the Brong Ahafo and Western region rivalries.
The season will feature 34 matchdays, with no midweek games to reduce travel burdens, and a one-week break before the national elections on December 7, 2024.
