Hundreds of enthusiastic supporters of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) assembled at the Jubilee Park in Tamale early today [Saturday, July 27], in anticipation of the 2024 election campaign launch.
They were clad in various attires which reflected the red, white, green and black colours of the umbrella party, amidst loud sounds of NDC songs.
As early as 7:30 am, party faithfuls had started gathering as the crowd continued to grow by the minute.
Various party stalwarts and executives are expected to deliver speeches and messages to rally NDC supporters for their set objectives.
The party is making a strong comeback to wrest power from the governing New Patriotic Party (NPP) after eight years in opposition.
Former President John Dramani Mahama, the flagbearer of the NDC, will be going head-to-head with Vice President Dr Mahamudu Bawumia, the flagbearer of the NPP who is taking a shot at the presidency for the first time.
