Kotoko commence Adako Jachie transformation funded by Otumfuo

Asante Kotoko has announced that construction work at their Adako Jachie training ground funded by the club’s life patron, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, will start immediately to transform the facility into a modern one.

The Porcupine Warriors took to social media to announce the start of the project on Thursday, July 25.

The facility would have seven pitches, including one that looks like a mini stadium and hostels for players.

Over the years, Asante Kotoko has been ridiculed by rival fans for not having the required facilities that a great club it claims to be does not have.

There were claims that players of Asante Kotoko used to go and free themselves in the bush.

But now, it looks like all that is coming to an end, per the club through a statement they released.

“THE KING’S PROJECT,” the club’s statement said.

“We are delighted to announce the commencement of the transformation of Adako Jachie into a state-of-the-art training facility. This ambitious project, fully funded by His Royal Majesty, Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, will be executed in multiple phases. Today marks the beginning of Phase One.

“Stay tuned for updates as we progress in building a world-class training hub. Fabulous!”

The club struggled throughout last season and managed to finish sixth, 12 points behind Ghana Premier League champions Samartex.
