Finance Minister Dr. Mohammed Amin Adam has presented the 2024 Mid-Year Budget Review to Parliament.
This was his first budget presentation since his appointment as Finance Minister in February 2024.
The presentation today was in accordance with Section 28 of the Public Financial Management Act, 2016 (Act 921).
The budget covered economic and fiscal performance for the first half of the year, growth measures, revenue, expenditure performance, financing, and debt sustainability.
The Finance Minister also updated Parliament on the $3 billion IMF-supported Post-COVID-19 Programme for Economic Growth (PC-PEG).
