It adds to the numerous road fatalities and casualties recorded yearly.

In March 2024, two people reportedly died in two separate accidents at a spot close to the Oda River bridge near Esereso in the Bosomtwe District of the Ashanti region.

Both incidents happened on Tuesday, March 12, 2024.

A 50-year-old man identified as Charles, a resident of Esereso was reported dead after he was knocked down by a hit-and-run driver at about 2 pm.

Two hours later, the driver of a KIA Rio salon car was pulled out unconscious after his car plunged into the Oda River.

The Assemblyman for Esereso East Electoral Area, Amoateng Opoku Emmanuel, confirming the incident, said residents were angered by the development.
