Samartex successfully secure signing of Mohammed Mankuyeli from RTU
Ghana champions Samartex have bolstered their squad with the acquisition of Real Tamale United forward Mohammed Alhassan Mankuyeli.
The 23-year-old forward joins the Timber giants for an undisclosed fee, ending his stint with relegated Real Tamale United.
Mankuyeli signed a two-year deal to join Samartex, with an option to extend for a further year.
The highly-rated attacker was a standout for RTU in the recently concluded season despite being relegated from the top-tier league.
In a stellar performance, Mankuyeli racked up 11 goals and provided six assists in 30 appearances for the Pride of the North in the Ghana Premier League.
He joined RTU in January 2023 from Berekum Chelsea after a successful loan spell at Accra City Stars.
Mankuyeli joins his teammates to continue their preparation for the upcoming season.
Samartex will be competing in three competitions next season, (CAF Champions League, Ghana Premier League and FA Cup).
The Timber giants are busy on the transfer market searching for quality players to augment their squad in order to excel in the aforementioned competitions.
Samartex will face Cameroonian side Victoria United FC in the preliminary round of the CAF Champions League, scheduled for next month.
