Osman Bukari lands in America to kickstart journey with Austin FC in MLS

Ghanaian winger Osman Bukari has touched down in America to embark on a new chapter in his professional career with Major League Soccer (MLS) club Austin FC.

The club successfully secured the services of the player on Thursday, May 30.

In an official announcement, Austin FC confirmed that Osman Bukari has been signed on a three-and-a-half-year contract, a deal that is set to extend until the end of the 2027 season. The club also holds an option to extend the contract further into 2028. The transfer agreement with Red Star Belgrade is pending the receipt of Bukari’s International Transfer Certificate (ITC) and P-1 visa.

Bukari, aged 25, is anticipated to bolster Austin FC’s offensive line in the 2024 MLS season. The Ghanaian international is expected to bring his unique playing style and experience to the team, providing a much-needed boost to their attack.

Currently, Austin FC occupies the 8th position in the 2024 MLS Western Conference table, having accumulated 27 points from 20 games. The team is gearing up for their next match against Sporting KC, scheduled for June 30th.
