A young man, identified as Alaska, has slashed his friend, Yaw Louis, with a knife at Toyafie near Bonsu Nkwanta in the Juabuso District of the Western North Region.
Yaw Louis was engaged in a fight with another person when Alaska came to separate the two.
Unfortunately, Louis turned the heat on Alaska and hit Alaska on the head with a stool.
The situation escalated to the point where a knife that Louis had hidden in his clothes fell, and Alaska picked it up and allegedly hacked Louis’ left hand.
Information gathered indicates that Alaska had previously threatened to beat up Louis, so when he came to separate the fight, Louis thought he (Alaska) was there to attack him.
Alaska, who is currently in the custody of the police, claims he attacked Louis in self-defence.
Meanwhile, Louis has been admitted to a hospital for medical treatment.
