One person has died and two others are in critical condition following an accident near Ohene Nkwanta, on the Kumasi-Accra highway, on Saturday morning.
The accident occurred around 7:00 am when a Man Diesel tanker truck (No GT-5894-24) traveling from Accra to Kumasi collided with a Toyota Camry (No AW-6414-14) traveling from Kumasi to Accra.
The tanker truck was carrying 36,000 litres of diesel.
According to reports, the Toyota Camry was overtaking a Marcopolo VIP bus (No 33-21) when the collision occurred.
The deceased and the injured are all males.
The injured include two occupants of the Toyota Camry, while the driver of the Man Diesel tanker truck also sustained minor injuries.
The body of the deceased has been deposited at the Konongo Government Hospital mortuary.
