The 15-time GRAMMY Award winner is back to host Music’s Biggest Night!
So nice, she’s doing it twice!
Fifteen-time GRAMMY® Award-winning singer, songwriter, producer and all-around global superstar Alicia Keys will be back to host the 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards® live on Sunday, Jan. 26.
In 2019, the “Girl On Fire” singer made her debut as GRAMMY emcee and treated fans to an evening full of standout moments, including an other-worldly opening monologue that featured surprise appearances from former First Lady Michelle Obama, Lady Gaga, Jennifer Lopez, and Jada Pinkett Smith.
“At first, I did think last year was a one-time thing, but when the opportunity came back around there was no question about returning as host of the GRAMMY Awards,” said Keys. “Last year was such a powerful experience for me. Not only did I feel the love in the room, but I felt it from around the world and it confirmed the healing and unifying power of music.”
So what can fans expect when Keys takes the Staples Center stage for her second GRAMMY go-around?
“Alicia Keys is the ultimate musically credible emcee and talent who brings everything you’d want to hosting big event television,” said Jack Sussman, EVP of Specials, Music and Live Events at CBS Entertainment. “Alicia 2019 raised the bar to the next level and I have no doubt Alicia 2020 will take Music’s Biggest Night® to all new heights.”
While we’re a couple months away from meeting the newest class of GRAMMY Award winners, the complete list of 2020 nominations will be released on Wednesday, Nov. 20 at 8:20 AM ET / 5:20 AM PT, with the top categories revealed live on CBS This Morning.
