Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club’s assistant coach, David Ocloo, expressed that preventing another defeat in the league was crucial for his team.

He made this statement after Kotoko played out a goalless draw against Bechem United in an away game in the Ghana Premier League.

The Porcupine Warriors have been struggling to find form in the second half of the 2023-2024 season, having lost five out of the previous six matches and dropped down to the 10th position in the standings.

Coach Ocloo was satisfied with his team’s hard-fought point and appreciated the effort they put in to avoid another loss, emphasizing the need to end their poor run of form.

“To me, our previous games we played very well but we couldn’t score. To me, the previous games we played well better than this…but with this game, the only difference is they (players) were very disciplined defensively. This particular match, we did not create enough chances but the most important thing is we getting a point here.”

Kotoko play against Nsoatreman on Thursday, April 11 at 18:00 GMT at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.
