The Cyber Security Authority (CSA) says it received about 194 cases of online fraud between January and March this year.
According to the CSA, this resulted in a loss of about GHC2,404,161.
The Cyber Security Authority said in canonical festivals like Easter and Ramadan, malicious actors take advantage of the heightened commercial activities to perpetrate online scams.
In a statement last Thursday (28 March), the CSA, therefore, cautioned the public to be diligent in their online activities.
