The former International Missions Director(IMD) of the Church of Pentecost, Apostle Emmanuel Gyesi-Addo (Rtd) has empowered Christians to always embrace the wondrous cross of Jesus Christ that brings salvation.
Speaking on the theme, “Jesus Christ! Pierced, Crushed, Oppressed and Wounded For Our Sins and Forgiveness” on the Good Friday at Darkuman Zone, Church of Pentecost, the Apostle emphasized that indeed there is no salvation in any other living thing apart from the Lord Jesus Christ.
Making reference from the Book of Isaiah 53:4-7, the speaker made the congregants to understand that on the cross of Calvary, “Jesus took our sins upon Himself and bore God’s wrath to save mankind”.
He added that “His[Jesus Christ] death was the atonement for all of our sins. Therefore, we who have placed our faith in Jesus have forgiveness of sins and peace with God because of what was accomplished on the cross”.
Apostle Gyesi-Addo also urged Christians to always acknowledge the significance of the ‘Good Friday’ since it was a day that brought total liberty to mankind due to the crucifixion of the Lord Jesus Christ on that fateful day.
Moreover, he encouraged Christians never to forget about the painful death of Jesus Christ that has brought salvation to all mankind.
