The late Deputy Finance Minister and Member of Parliament (MP) for Ejisu, Dr John Ampotuah Kumah will be laid to rest on Saturday, May 18, 2024.
The final funeral rites will continue on Sunday, May 19.
This was announced during the one-week memorial of his passing in Onwe, Ejisu Municipal, on Thursday, March 28, 2024.
He left behind a wife and six children.
Many dignitaries including Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia graced the one-week observance.
Other dignitaries were the Chief of Staff, Fremah Opare; Former Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta; Minister of Housing, Kojo Oppong Nkrumah; Minister of Energy, Dr Matthew Opoku Prempeh and the General Secretary of NPP Justin Frimpong Kodua.
Also present were traditional rulers from the various traditional councils within the Ejisu constituency.
Mr John Kumah was the founding member and Managing Partner of Aduaprokye Chambers, a law firm. He also worked as the founder of Majak Associates Ltd, a building and construction company.
He is a Lawyer and an Entrepreneur with over fifteen (15) years of experience in leadership, creativity, innovation, and resourcefulness in creating jobs and supporting youth development.
In addition to his professional achievements, he was recognized for his educational accomplishments, including a Doctorate in Business Innovation from the Swiss Business School in Switzerland and a Masters in Applied Business Research.
