Many Christians in Ghana and others across the globe will be observing Easter celebrations from Friday, March 29, to Monday, March 1.

 

Easter focuses on the death, resurrection and ascension of Jesus Christ, who is believed to be the saviour of the world, according to the Christian religion.

Like any other festive period, the season is usually marked with family and other loved ones.

During the same season, there are several occasions like picnics and other outdoor events.

Here are some exciting ways to mark the period.

  •  Kwahu Paragliding

The Kwahu Paragliding is an event held annually in the Eastern Region.

This event brings together people in Ghana, the diaspora, and other foreign nationals.

This year’s edition will take place from tomorrow, Friday, April 7, to Monday, April 10.

The Seven Tandem Pilots will be action to thrill the public from the Odweanoma Mountain to the Nkawkaw Stadium.

The paragliding is scheduled between 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. each day, and interested patrons who wish to fly are to pay GH¢950.

  • Beach

Thousands of revellers throng beaches in Accra during holidays and other festive periods.

Popular beaches such as the Kokrobite, Bojo and  La Pleasure will likely be packed with revellers from far and near.

Maybe the family has not settled on any particular place to enjoy the holidays but trust that visiting the beach to enjoy the cool breeze during the day will never be a bad idea.

  • Basket Mouth Unprovoked 

The Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) will host a comedy show by renowned Nigerian entertainer Basket Mouth.

It’s a night of comedy, and families are welcome to have fun and enjoy the moment.

Known in private life as Bright Okpocha, Basket Mouth has promised to give his audience a unique experience never felt before at any of his shows.

The show is dubbed Unprovoked and scheduled for Saturday, March 30.

The Passion Of The Christ is an American biblical drama movie which narrates the sad story of the death of Jesus Christ on the cross of Calvary.

Risen is one of the movies about the death and resurrection of the Lord Jesus Christ.

It is a movie about one Roman military tribune.

Clavius was sent to go and search for Jesus Christ’s body after his burial but wasn’t in the grave as he promised he would be resurrected on the third day.

People who prefer to stay indoors will surely find it fun to watch the movie.

The Pilgrim’s Progress is a movie that illustrates the challenges that Christians face in their daily lives but resort to the Lord Jesus Christ, who is able to carry all the burdens of humanity.

The movie gives hope to the hopeless and encourages Christians to always journey on no matter the circumstances.
